Holiday plans

I'm one of those people that makes lists. Usually to keep myself organised and to make sure that I do the things I need to do, otherwise I get my head stuck into a bit of painting and crafting, and before I know it, it's the end of the day and I've done nothing else. I have some time off over December, so I have little lists of things I want to do and things I need to do. They're quite different you see. Things I need to do consist of boring things like housework, making dental appointments, and sorting out mortgage stuff, whilst things I want to do usually entail crafting, painting and socialising :-) Take this week for example; I have a mental list of things. Monday, I had to vacuum, I also took the dog for a nice walk in the winter sunshine, posted some eBay stuff, did the grocery shopping and did some painting. Today I've taken the dog for a long walk, hennaed my hair and scrubbed the kitchen floor. That took me about an hour! Damn textured floors, whose bright idea was that?! No matter how much you clean and mop, there comes a point when there is no alternative but to get down on your hands and knees and scrub. This is the 21st century for f*@#s sake! BTW, there are several yoga postures you can do whilst scrubbing a floor! I found that out whilst my mind was wandering! The cat and the dog are both possible to do :-) I'm now sitting here with a heavy head full of henna and turbaned towel trying to decide what nice things to do for the rest of the day now. I like to leave the henna for as long as possible for that nice extra red colour, so I'm not exactly going anywhere. Maybe a film and a spot of crocheting on my Santa hat and later I go to yoga class! Tomorrow I'm at school and then belly dancing, Thursday I'd planned to go to Harlestone Firs with my Mum to gather evergreen foliage and pine cones for decorations and wreaths (weather permitting) and then Friday I may pop into town for a bit of lunch with a friend. I have the staff party Friday night, a craft fair on Saturday and the belly dancing Hafla on Sunday. Next week I have some moderation to do for school, then it seems that I may have an interview. Eeek!
Well, here's the fruits of todays creative labour: pretty red hennaed hair! See how it shines :-) I love my hair when it's hennaed, it's just a pain in the arse to do! I add clove oil to my henna too, so my hair now smells like Christmas and is so soft!

And I finished my Santa hat whilst watching the last couple of episodes of Life on Mars. Gotta love Sam, although M finds Gene Hunt hilarious!! He's a Seventies boy :-)

I'll be wearing this for the next couple of Christmas craft fairs I do; it's festive, so much nicer than all the cheapo nylon fleece Santa hats that everyone seems to be wearing at this time of year and it'll keep my head warm.
