2) Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.

3) Tag 7 people at the end of your post by including links to their blogs

The Facts:

1. I have a tattoo and ten piercing's including my navel and tongue.

2. I've been vegetarian since the age of twelve, and have been vegan for some of those years.

3. I'm slightly numerically dyslexic.

Well, I think that Karan, Kasia, Ducky, Cazz, Taz, Yarndancer, and Penny probably all have some weird and wonderful facts about themselves that they haven't yet divulged, but as always, your participation is completely voluntary, so if you don't want to take part, I completely understand, but if you do, well, hurray! And if I haven't tagged you and you want to take part, then feel free to copy the rules over to your blog and let me know so that I can come and take a squizz!

I've been tagged!!!

Fellow blogger Lou tagged me for this:
"The rules of the game get posted at the beginning. Each player answers the questions about themselves. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Let the person who tagged you know when you’ve posted your answer."

1) What was I doing 10 years ago?:
Ten years ago I was 28 and living in rented accommodation which had been flooded with over five feet of river water two months earlier. We had dehumidifiers going all day, trying to get rid of the damp; we had no floor, no heating, no kitchen and were living upstairs in two rooms. We hadn't been able to get alternative accommodation as we had no children and had pets and there just wasn't enough housing. We lived like that for two years. A huge area in our town had been flooded.

2) What are 5 things on my to-do list for today?:
Well, as the day is already drawing to an end..not too much, but tomorrow my to-do list involves:

-Job hunting! The trials and tribulations of being an hourly paid teacher! I don't get paid for those long summer holidays and I still have bills to pay!

- Finishing my outfit for Thursdays Hafla (Eeeek!)

- Grocery shopping! We always do it on a Monday. That way the nice things last all week and don't get consumed during a weekend binge *lol*

- Some more embroidery on my jacket
- Taking my dog Joe for a nice long walk at Rabbit Field!

3) Snacks I enjoy:

- Strawberries!
- Ice-cream

- Chocolate! What girl doesn't?
- Garlic bread :-) A guilty pleasure!

- Falafels

4) Things I would do if I were a billionaire:
- Travel round the world

- Set up a big crafts studio space where local artists and crafts people can rent working/selling studios for reasonable prices. There's just nowhere for small businesses to start up round here.

- Have a home somewhere warm! I just hate the cold :-)

- Set up an animal sanctuary.

5) Places I have lived:
- Northampton

- Hanley

- Stafford

- Buxton

6) Jobs I have had:
- Art Teacher

- Pottery teacher for adults with special needs

- Educational support for students with special needs

- BT operator

- Bar maid in a nightclub

7) People I want to know more about

- Kookie

- 2paw

- Dragonflyducky

- The Felt Fairy

- Tasketbasket

- Lynda

Okay, so if you've done this before, or don't fancy doing it, feel free to bow out :-)

I've been hit too

Well tagged that is. Laural tagged me for the Eight Random Facts Meme. So ok...

The rules:1. Each player starts with 8 random facts/habits about themselves.2. People who are tagged write a blog post about their own 8 random things and post these rules.3. At the end of your blog you need to tag 8 people and post their names.4. Don’t forget to leave them a comment and tell them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

8 Random facts/habits

1. I have my tongue pierced

2. I kind of dislike people looking at me…according to my Mum; I have always been like this. I blush furiously and my mind goes blank when I feel I’ve been put on the spot. This is quite bizarre considering I have always been an ‘eccentric’ dresser (goth, punk, hippy) and my career of choice…..(I teach)

3. My hair has been every colour under the sun, with dreads or braids; purple, green, red, blue, pink – it’s quite a boring henna red now, and long.

4. I hate confrontation or arguments. I’m naturally a calm person, with occasional outbursts of anger.

5. I’m not a randomly tactile person. Don’t get me wrong, I hug and kiss the BF, family and close friends, but not general friends or acquaintances. And I hate it when people just keep touching you in conversation for no apparent reason.

6. I’m not really a baby person. I was never brought up round babies and I just don’t get that maternal feeling. Hand me a newborn and I freeze, like a rabbit in headlights. Now kittens…….I just adore kittens

7. I’m really bad at maths. I can deal with money ‘n’ stuff – I know if the shop keeper’s ripped me off, but fractions, geometry, algebra, and stuff like that, I just don’t ‘get’. In fact, I think I’m actually a little dis-numeric. I think that’s the right word anyway. I transpose numbers all the while. My first job out of University was for British Telecom as an Operator, and I hated it when people wanted me to read them the numbers rather than have the automated answer, because I knew that I would end up reading it out wrong. I’d get them to read the number back to me, pretending that I was checking that they’d written it down right, but really I was checking I’d read it out right. About 50% of the time, I’d switched numbers around without realising.

8. Everything I love is bad for me…..I love the sun, but I’m a little photosensitive and if I don’t wear sunblock, I came out in a bad rash. I love flowers, but I get hayfever. I love chocolate, and ice-cream, and nice bread, and cheese, and cake. Food doesn’t like me though. I put weight on easily *sigh* and as I’m only about 5’2” it shows. Luckily, I also love salad and fruit.

Well, that's all about me then folks. If anyone else would like to volunteer a hit, they're very welcome..... ZaftigMomma, Devilninny, SewingLori? Go on, you know you want to!
