What on earth is going on with the weather?? It's been so windy this weekend! The BF and I had planned to try and fix the bedroom window, which got damaged in the August storms, but it was far too windy! Oh well, at least I got on with some crafting! I finished the 'Big' project for the Craftster star swap (piccys later) on Friday night, and on an impulse (alcohol fuelled I'm afraid) also decided to make a new cover for my 'lil Brother (machine), so this is what happens at midnight, after a bottle of wine, with a sewing machine and a pair of charity shop curtains!
Actually, I'm quite pleased with the result!
I also managed to mostly finish my magic yarn ball project, well, enought to get the goodies out! *lol* I think the yarn might run out before I'm finished though, so I might just frog it and make a scarf instead! I'll see how it goes.
I spent this morning happily watching the Hollyoaks omnibus (yeah, I know, it's bubblegum for the mind) and knitting away at my Kittyville hat, and managed to get the hat bit finished! I just need to do the ears and the flaps now :-)
Although it's been very windy today, it's also been quite warm and sunny, so I popped into the garden to see what's happening there. The buddleia and the lavender are still in bloom, so here are a couple of blossoms to remind me that summer may not quite be over yet!!

(i watch hollyoaks too ;))
your stuff all looks great. i've done my first knuck and started on my second.
i don't know whether to put pompoms on the kittyville hat or not. i hate making pompoms, im just not very neat with them. i was thinking about doing tassles instead. what do you think?
Thanks Vinny! I think tassels would be good! I'm considering them myself - pompoms are a little irritating after a while! I've cut them off knitted hoodies before when they were 'trendy'! Are you posting piccys?
i will be when i take some! just been busy.. i am half way through knuck number two.
i'm just not very good at pompoms. i don't have the patience and i can never make them look tidy afterwards. they frustrate me!
i like tassles more because they have greater fiddle-ability when you're wearing them.
so that's settled then! tassles it is. :D
