My first wreath

I know, it's nothing special to look at, but it's my first one and I'm proud of it. Now I know how to do it, I'll never buy premade again! I normally buy and handmade wreath for my front door at Christmas time because I love the smell, and they look so much better than artificial ones. Anyway, this year, I decided to have a go at my own, so I bought a moss ring, watched a few 'how to' tutorials on YouTube and went to my local fir tree woods this morning to collect some greenery. This is the result.

It's on the wall rather than the door at the moment, because I haven't collected the door hanger down from the loft yet.How did I do it? I used florists wire to wrap bundles of greenery round the ring. I went in the same direction, making sure each little sprig was secured with at least one wrap of wire. Then I collected some white plant material from my garden and some herbs, and pushed those in amongst the bundles, then I got some pinecones, wrapped a piece of wire round each one and pushed those in too. It smells gorgeous because there's sprigs of pine, rosemary, lavender, and eucalyptus in there. It needs a little tidying up, but I'm fairly happy with it I'm never buying a readymade one again!
